Sep 11, 2018- Senior most Justice Om Prakash Mishra                                   has been appointed the chief justice of the Supreme                                     Court.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari administered the oath of office to Mishra hours after the Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) unanimously endorsed his name for the position on Monday. Later in the day, he assumed office as the 28th chief justice.

The Constitutional Council had recommended him for the position on August 23, 2018. Mishra has been at the helm of the apex court since August 5 as the acting CJ after the PHC rejected the nomination of senior Justice Deepak Raj Joshee to head the court.

The hearing committee rejected Joshee’s recommendation, reasoning that he failed to give satisfactory answers to lawmakers’ questions about his academic credentials, controversial hearings and capability to lead the judiciary.

Despite the rejection, Joshee has not resigned from the position and is likely to continue working as the senior most justice under Mishra’s leadership. Joshee is currently on leave.

The PHC had received five complaints against Mishra. One of the complainants, however, withdrew his charge three days ahead of parliamentary hearing.

“Mishra’s recommendation was endorsed after evaluating his capability, experience and vision to lead the judiciary,” PHC coordinator Laxman Lal Karna told reporters after the decision.

Prior to the question-answer session, Mishra on Monday presented a 25-page action plan for the top judicial role. He promised measures for reforming the three-tier judiciary.

“In spite of my short tenure, I will make every effort to transform the judiciary. I will try my best to control corruption with effective monitoring,” he told the hearing committee.

Mishra, who was praised for his stern measures at the Special Court, was appointed a Supreme Court justice on May 27, 2014. He will retire on January 1 next year on age ground.

He claimed to have finalised 17,000 cases at different courts in his career with professional integrity. Rulings on citizenship in the name of mother and removal of hoarding boards were some of his remarkable verdicts.

Nepal advanced into the semi-finals as Group ‘A’ winners of the Saff Championship football tournament following a 2-0 victory over  hosts Bangladesh at the Bangabandhu Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday.

Goals in either half from strikers Bimal Gharti Magar and substitute Nawayug Shrestha sealed the victory for Nepal who made entered the semi-finals of the tournament after five years. Yet to lift the championship, it is Nepal’s fifth semi-final entry in the biggest football tournament of the South Asian region. Earlier, Nepal had made it to the last four during the 1995 (Colombo), 1999 (Goa), 2011 (New Delhi) and 2013 (Kathmandu) editions.

Nepal had gone down 2-1 against Pakistan in their opening match on Tuesday and defeated Bhutan 4-0 on Thursday. Bangladesh had defeated Bhutan 2-0 and Pakistan 1-0. In the other match of the group, Pakistan defeated Bhutan 3-0. Nepal’s semi-final opponent will be finalised on Sunday – one among India or Maldives — after the two teams play in their last group match.

Saturday’s outcome meant Nepal, Bangladesh and Pakistan finished with six points each in the group and Bhutan crashed out without registering a point in the table. Nepal topped the table on the basis of number of goals scored between the teams concerned having scored three goals followed by two goals of Pakistan. Bangladesh had only one goal to their name in terms of the team concerned.  

Nepal and Bangladesh went into the final group match with both in a contrasting circumstances. While it was a must-win situation for Nepal, a draw would have been sufficient for Bangladesh. It was Bimal Gharti Magar who made the breakthrough in the 33rd minute through a freekick. Bangladeshi goalie Md Sahidul Alam fumbled Bimal’s free kick allowing the Nepali striker to net his eighth international goal. The 20-year old is now five goals sigh of all time highest goal scorer from Nepal to match the record held by former skipper Hari Khadka.

“More than the personal achievement, it is the entry into the semi-finals that carries more significance for me. But I am still happy with my individual performance,” said Gharti Magar, a product of ANFA Academy. “We are inching closer to trophy and everyone in the team is gaining confidence.”

Though Bangladesh dominated the ball possession before Nepal struck, the hosts were under intense pressure to equalise and resorted to an all-attack game  but ultimately ended up losing the tempo of the game. A stubborn Nepali defense line up kept Bangladeshi attacks on bay in a match where both sides failed to make other remarkable attacks.

Forward Bharat Khawas, the stand-in-skipper for Biraj Maharjan who was rested for the match, tested Bangladeshi goalie Alam in the 54th minute. Khawas forced the custodian for a diving save and Sunil Bal shot wayward in the rebounder after being set by Rohit Chand. Bangladesh’s only remarkable move of the match came in the 70th minute when Hossain Roney headed above the bar from the area.

Nawayug came as replacement for Khawas in the 66th minute and ensured victory with a perfect finish in the 90th minute. He converted Bishal Rai’s through pass with a cool finish sending the ball beyond goalie after his shot got a deflection off the upright.

Nepal’s coach Kiran Shrestha, the deputy to head coach Bal Gopal Maharjan, believed the first goal was the turning point of the match. “We played as per the match plan and the first goal turned the game towards us,” said Shrestha.

KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sarbendra Khanal today has pledged to take action against the perpetrator(s) involved in the rape and murder of Nirmala Panta in Kanchanpur on July 26.

“The criminal(s) will be booked. An expert team is undertaking investigations into the rape and murder case,” the IGP told Rastriya Samachar Samiti.

Khanal reached the district to take part in the national campaign related to ‘minimisation of Violence Against Women and Human Rights Protection’ beginning today from Bhimdattanagar.

On the occasion, he expressed his confidence that the national campaign to be launched by Nepal Police in coordination with National Human Rights Commission would help control crime.

IGP Khanal said, “We will move ahead coordinating with all social organisations including rights activists and civil society. The campaign will be helpful to ensure victims’ access to justice.

Police have arrested the alleged mastermind of 88 kg gold smuggling Man Bahadur Tamang from Swoyambhu today.

According to police, a team deployed from Metropolitan Police Crime Division arrested Tamang after those arrested in connection with the smuggling earlier spilled the beans on him.

It is said Tamang was chosen as a Nepali Congress candidate for the upcoming parliamentary elections under the proportional representation electoral system from Rasuwa-1 Constituency. He is also the president of Nepal-Kerung Business Association.

Police said Chinese smugglers of 88 kg gold had used Tamang to supply gold to the Kathmandu.

Police had arrested a person in possession of 88 kilograms gold from Chhetrapati in Kathmandu in the wee hours on September 4. This was the biggest haul of smuggled gold ever seized in Nepal, according to MCDP. A police team deployed from the Metropolitan Police Range had arrested Manoj Adhikari, 24, of Makawanpurgadhi Rural Municipality-5, with the gold. The seized gold is worth around Rs 430 million.

Police had also seized a car (Ba 17 Cha 6427) used for smuggling the gold. The team had opened the rear part of the vehicle and seized 88 pieces of gold bars weighing 1 kg each, wrapped in black tape.

Earlier on August 30 this year, the Central Investigation Bureau of the Nepal Police had arrested seven individuals in possession of 15 kg smuggled hallmark gold. In that incident too, the Rasuwagadhi-Kerung route was used to smuggle the yellow metal into Nepal from China.

Seizure of 88 kg gold had surpassed the previous record of 35 kg hallmark gold confiscated on July 10, 2013.

Likewise, 33 kg gold was seized from Pinglasthan on January 5 this year. CIB had arrested three persons with 33 kilograms of undeclared precious yellow metal. The seized gold was worth around Rs 150 million.

KATHMANDU: The Metropolitan Traffic Police Division (MTPD) has taken under control 71 taxi drivers for action as they were found overcharging passengers in the valley.

They were arrested under a special campaign the Division launched on Thursday. They were arrested for refusing to take passengers to their designated destinations, overcharging more than the fare determined by the state, refusing to charge fare as per the taxi metre and for tampering the metres, Chief of the MTPD, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Basanta Kumar Panta, said.

He said that the special drive was conducted following the complaints received by the MTPD of overcharging passengers and harassing them.

SSP Panta told Rastriya Samachar Samiti that the police would conduct such campaigns regularly. According to him, 80 traffic police personnel have been mobilised for this purpose.

There are 10,645 taxis operating in Kathmandu valley at present.

The Miteri Bridge at Birgunj-Raxaul border point is riddled with potholes and cracks.

Lawmaker Pradeep Yadav, Mayor of Birgunj Metropolis Bijaya Sarawagi and Chief District Officer Loknath Poudel inspected the bridge on Wednesday, five months after Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth assured Birgunj residents to repair the bridge.

After the inspection lawmaker Yadav urged Mayor Sarawagi to repair the bridge at the earliest.

Biraj Maharjan set history as Nepal’s most capped player as the national team skipper played his 69th match in national colours on Thursday in a 4-0 thumping win over Bhutan in a Saff Championship Group ‘A’ game in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The 28-year-old defender, who is in the twilight of his career, came in as an 84th minute replacement for Dinesh Rajbanshi to surpass the record of his coach and former national captain Raju Kaji Shakya. The latter had played 68 matches for the national team. Maharjan, the second batch of Anfa Academy, was appointed the national team captain since 2015 Trivandrum Saff Championship. Under Maharjan, Nepal have won the titles of Bangabandhu Gold Cup, AFC Solidarity Cup and South Asian Games men’s football in 2016.

Maharjan, who currently plays as the central defender, is equally efficient as left back and right back. After marking debut for Nepal during a friendly against Pakistan in 2008 in Pokhara, Maharjan has been an integral part of the team. He plays for Manang Marshyangdi Club in the domestic football. नुवाकोटका सुनबहादुुर तामाङ कोठी चलाएको अभियोगमा सजाय भोग्ने पहिलो वडाध्यक्ष बनेका थिए । यस्तै कतिपय ठाउँमा रक्सी पिएर लडेका खबर आइरहेका बेला तालतालका वडाध्यक्ष फेला पर्न थालेका हुन् ।

बाग्लुङको बुर्तिवाङ्ग बजारमा मंगलबार दिउँसो बडीगाड गाउँपालिका वडा नं ७ का वडाध्यक्ष ३२ बर्षिय कृष्ण गुरुङ्ग बुर्तिबाङ्ग बजारमा डेरा गरी बसेकी मानबहादुर सुनारकी २५ बर्षिया पत्नीसँग कोठामा सँगै भेटिए । मानबहादुरले नै ढोका थुनेर प्रहरीलाई खबर गरेका थिए ।

र वडाध्यक्षले उनै महिलाले बोलाएर आफु गएको बताएका छन् । ‘उनले बोलाएपछि म गएर मुढामा बसेको थिएँ, उनका श्रीमान बाहिरबाट आएर ढुका थुनेका हुन्’, वडाध्यक्षको बयानमा छ ।

चार पाँच महिनाअघि घर आएका उनले पत्नीको चाल चलनबारे गोप्य रुपमा निगरानी बढाउँदै आएको स्थानीयले बताए । मानबहादुर र उनकी श्रीमतिको घर निसीखोला गाउपालिका–१ हर्पे हो । आफ्नो कोठामा वडाध्यक्ष आपत्तिजनक स्थितिमा यौनजन्य क्रियाकलाप गरेको अवस्थामा भेटिएको भन्दै प्रहरीमा उनका मानबहादुरले उजुरी दिएका थिए ।

सामाजिक चरित्र हरण भएका यी मात्र वडाध्यक्ष होइनन् । जलेश्वर नगरपालिकाका एक वडा अध्यक्ष दलित महिला वडा सदस्यसँग आपत्तिजनक अवस्थामा फेला परेका थिए ।

जलेश्वर नगरपालिका–८ का वडाध्यक्ष विजयकुमार सिंह दलित महिला वडा सदस्यको घरमा आपत्तिजनक अवस्थामा महिलाका देवर, ससुरा र जेठाजुले देखेपछि बाहिरबाटै दुवै जनालाई घरमा थुनेर गाउँलेलाई बोलाएर रंगेहात पक्राउ गरिएको थियो ।

सो महिलाका घरका सदस्यहरू तथा गाउँलेले अध्यक्ष सिंह र दलित महिलालाई पक्राउ गरी प्रहरी बोलाएर ११ राती जिम्मा लगाए । सिंह तेस्रो चरणको स्थानीय तहको निर्वाचनमा नेकपा (एमाले)बाट वडाध्यक्षमा विजयी भएका थिए ।

करीब नौ महिनाअघि वैदेशिक रोजगारीका क्रममा पतिको मृत्यु भएकी सो दलित महिला सदस्यले गत असोज २ गते भएको स्थानीय तहको तेस्रो चरणको निर्वाचनमा दलित महिला वडा सदस्यमा नेकपा एमालेबाट विजयी भएकी थिइन् । पति गुमाएर विधवा रहेकी दलित महिला वडा सदस्य फ्ना चार बालबालिकासँग सुतिरहेको बेला वडाध्यक्ष सिंह उनको घरमा पसेका थिए ।

उता, कतिपय वडाध्यक्षलाई बलात्कारको आरोप समेत लागेको थियो । विवाहित १७ वर्षीया किशोरीमाथि बलात्कारको आरोप लागेका घिरिङ गाउँपालिका–३ का वडाध्यक्ष झकबहादुर कुमालले घटना बाहिर नल्याउन पीडितलाई धम्की दिएका थिए ।

घिरिङ–४ गड्यौलीटारकी स्थानीय विवाहित किशोरीमाथि कुमालले नवलपरासी बर्दघाट पूर्वसुस्तास्थित जंगलमा बलात्कार गरेका थिए । पति विदेशमा रहेका स्थानीय ती किशोरीलाई धम्क्याएर बलात्कार गरेको र कुमालले घटना बाहिर नल्याउन भन्दै दुई हजार रुपैयाँको प्रस्ताव गरेका थिए ।

यौन कार्यकलापमा मात्र होइन, मदिरा सेवनका काण्डमा पनि वडाध्यक्ष परेका छन् । मदिरा सेवन गरेर कार्यालयमा जाने गरेका मेचीनगर नगरपालिका–२ का वडाध्यक्ष तिलक न्यौपाने पक्राउ परेका थिए ।

पटक–पटक मादक पदार्थ खाएर कार्यालय जाने गर्न थालेपछि उनलाई सेवाग्राहीले नियन्त्रणमा लिएर प्रहरीको जिम्मा लगाएका हुन् । प्रहरीले मेची आम्दा हस्पिटल धुलावारीमा वडाध्यक्ष न्यौपानेको मापसे जाँच गर्दा उनले मदिरा सेवन गरेको पुष्टि भएको थियो ।

वडाध्यक्ष स्थानीय तहको सबैभन्दा तल्लो इकाइका प्रमुख हुन्छन् । दलको कार्यकर्ता वा सदस्यमात्र भएर भन्दा सामाजिक र नैतिक चरित्रका आधारमा पनि मतदाताले चुन्ने गर्छन् । यस्ता वडाध्यक्ष चुन्ने मतादाताले कस्तो विवेक प्रयोग गरे होला ?

काठमाडौं, १९ भदौ। नेपाल कम्युनिष्ट पार्टी (नेकपा) का अध्यक्ष पुष्पकमल दाहाल प्रचण्डले मन्त्रीहरु फेरबदल गर्ने संकेत गरेका छन् ।

मंगलबार खुमलटारमा सञ्चारकर्मीसँग कुरा गर्दै प्रचण्डले पछिल्लो समय जनतामा चरम निरासा छाएकाले त्यसलाई हटाउन गम्भीर कदम चालिने बताएका हुन् । सरकारका मन्त्री र अन्य सरकारका कामकारबाहीप्रति जनतामा असन्तुष्टि बढेको भन्दै उनले छिट्टै मन्त्रीहरु फेरबदल हुन सक्ने संकेत गरे ।

कोही एकजना मन्त्रीभन्दा राष्ट्र र पार्टी ठूलो भएको बताउँदै प्रचण्डले सरकारको समीक्षा सुरु भएको र अब केही कडा कदम चाल्नुपर्ने हुन सक्ने बताए ।

प्रचण्डले भने- ‘जोसुकै परुन्, सरकार असफल हुने, पार्टीलाई असफल पार्ने र जनतालाई निराश पार्ने खालको गतिविधि देखिएको छ भने अब हामीले स्टेप कुनै न कुनै चाल्नैपर्छ ।’

सरकारका काम कारबाहीलाई लिएर अहिले चर्चापरिचर्चा र आलोचना भइरहेको भन्दै उनले थपे-‘ देश वर्षौ पुरानो व्यवस्थालाई परिवर्तन गरी भर्खरै नयाँ संरचनामा गएको छ । नया संरचना भएकाले त्यहाँ सबै कुरा नयाँ बनाउनु पर्ने छ । व्यवस्था नयाँ, त्यसका नेतृत्वकर्ता नयाँ भएकाले सरकारका कामकारबाही जनताको अपेक्षा अनुसार प्रभावकारी हुन सकेका छैनन् । त्यसका लागि राम्रो काम गर्न नसकेका मन्त्री हेरफेर गर्ने, पुरक बजेट ल्याउनलगायतका जस्तो सुकै कदम चाल्ने तयारीमा छौं ।’

त्यस्तै,  आफ्नो आसन्न दुई छिमेकी देश भारत र चीनको भ्रमणलाई लिएर शंका नगर्न पनि प्रचण्डले आग्रह गरे । उनले भने, ‘म अब छिट्टै भारत र त्यस लगत्तै चीन भ्रमणमा जाँदै छु । यो भ्रमण छिमेकीसँगको सम्बन्धलाई थप प्रभावकारी बनाउन केन्द्र हुने छ । हाम्रो पार्टीमा दुई वटा अध्यक्ष भएकाले मलाई नेकपाको अध्यक्षका नाताले उनीहरुले निम्ता दिए । मेरो भ्रमण सरकारलाई थप सहयोग विषयमा केन्द्रित हुने छ । यसमा कसैले शंका गर्नु पर्ने केही छैन ।

भदौ १७ गते स्वयम्भुमा फेला परेको शवको टाउको चुडिएको अवस्थामा फेला परेको हो । शव बागलुङ जिल्ला वुर्तिबाङ निवासी २२ वर्षीय संगीत जिसीको रहेको उनको मामा मुकुट रायमाझीले जानकारी दिए ।

९ दिनदेखि बेपत्ता भएका जिसीको शव एकाएक टाउको चुडिएको अवस्थामा फेला परेपछि आफन्तहरू मर्माहत भएका छन् । जिसी अध्ययनका लागि काठमाडौंमा बस्दै आएका थिए ।

जिसीको शवलाई पोस्टमार्टमका लागि त्रिभुवन विश्व विद्यालय शिक्षण अस्पतालमा लगिएको छ । जिसीका आफन्तहरू मंगलबार बिहानै शिक्षण अस्पताल महाराजगञ्जमा जम्मा भएका छन् । उनीहरूले प्रहरीले समयमा खोज्न नसक्दा जिसीको हत्या भएको भन्दै आक्रोश व्यक्त गरेका छन् ।

जिसीका मामा मुकुट रायमाझीले अपहरणपछि हत्या भएको हुन सक्ने आफूहरूले आशंका गरेको बताए । ‘भाञ्जा हराएपछि हामीले प्रहरीलाई खबर गरेका थियौं’, उनले भने, ‘भाञ्जालाई कसैले अहपरण गरेर हत्या गरेको आशंका हामीले गरेका छौँ ।’

जिसीका आफन्तले दोषीलाई पक्राउ गरेर हदैसम्मको कारबाहीको माग गरेका छन् । प्रहरीले शव फेला पारेपछि सनाखतका लागि आफन्तलाई दुई दिन अगाडि भदौ १७ गते खबर गरेको थियो ।

काठमाडौं प्रहरी प्रमुखको जिम्मेवारी एसएसपी बसन्तकुमार लामाले सम्हालेसँगै झन् शान्ति सुरक्षा कमजोर भएको आरोप लागेको छ ।

हत्या, अपहरण, बलात्कारका घटनाहरू बढिरहेका बेला काठमाडौंमा युवकको शव फेला परेको थियो । टाउको चुडिएको अवस्थामा फेला परेको शवले धेरैको मनमा शान्ति सुरक्षालाई लिइर चिन्ता बढाइदिएको छ 

Sep 3, 2018- Police have arrested three people on charge of raping a 14-year-old girl in Damak, Jhapa.

According to the police, Suman Rai and Samir Shrestha, of Damak Municipality-1, and Kiran Shrestha, of Kamal Rural Municipality-5, were held on August 20, on charge of raping the teenager at a local guest house on August 14.

The police informed that the perpetrators took the victim to Kiran Guesthouse and raped her. Suman and Samir are the friends of the victim whereas Kiran is an employee of the guesthouse.

The victim, a resident from Ilam, is a Grade 9 student at a local school in Damak and was living alone in a rented room. After knowing that the girl was all on her own, Suman coaxed her to go on a ride with him.  Suman then called his friend Samir and they visited Urlabari, BetiniSimsar and Madhumalla throughout the day. That night, they stayed at the guesthouse, said police.

Police said the incident came into light late as the perpetrators threatened the victim not to disclose the incident.

DSP Shyamal Kumar Subba of the Area Police Office in Damak said the victim could not disclose the incident because she was threatened.

“It’s an incident of gang-rape. Locals in the vicinity of the guesthouse have also said that they heard screams coming from the guesthouse that night,” said DSP Subba, adding that the victim went to her home in Ilam following the incident.

Likewise, DSP Subba informed that the police came to know about the incident after the locals asked the girl what had happened on the day of the incident after she returned to her rented room from her home on August 20.

The police have lodged a rape case against the arrested and have begun investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, various people have been pushing the victim’s side to compromise following the arrest of the three youths. As a result, the victim had to leave her rented room and is currently taking shelter at Maiti Nepal in Kakarbhitta.

यस्तै आजै नेपाल मेडिकल काउन्सिल गइ लाइसेन्स फिर्ता गर्ने कार्यक्रम पनि राखिएको छ।

संघले मुलुकी अपराध संहिता संशोधनको माग गर्दै आइतबार बिहान १० बजे माइतीघर मण्डलामा प्रदर्शन गर्ने र १२ बजेपछि काउन्सिललाई आ(आफ्नो लाइसेन्स फिर्ता गर्ने कार्यक्रम तय गरेको छ ।

संघ करिब ५ हजार लाइसेन्स काउन्सिललाई बुझाउने तयारीमा छ।

भदौ एक गतेदेखि कार्यान्वयनमा आएको मुलुकी अपराध संहितामा उपचारका क्रममा डाक्टरको लापरवाहीले बिरामीको मृत्यु भएमा वा अंगभंग भएमा पाँच वर्षसम्म कैद र ५० हजार रूपैयाँसम्म जरिवानाको व्यवस्था गरेको छ। चिकित्सकहरूले यसमा असहमति जनाउँदै संशोधनको माग राख्दै आएका छन् ।

यसैगरी संघले देशभरका जिल्ला शाखाहरुले समेत प्रशासन कार्यालय अगाडि प्रदर्शन गर्ने बताएको छ।

‘काठमाडौं उपत्यकाको हकमा अपरान्ह १० बजे माइतीघर मण्डलामा तथा शाखाहरुको हकमा सम्बन्धित जिल्लाको जिल्ला प्रशासन कार्यालयमा एप्रोन सहित अनिवार्य उपस्थित भई विरोध कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन गर्नु हुन समेत सम्पूर्ण स्वाथ्यकर्मी तथा चिकित्सकहरुमा हार्दिक अनुरोध गरिन्छ’ संघले जारी गरेको विज्ञप्तिमा उल्लेख छ

काठमाडौँ, १८ भदौ । नेपालले मलेसियामा जारी एशिया कप छनोट क्रिकेट प्रतियोगिताको समूह चरणको अन्तिम खेलमा मंगलबार हङकङसँग खेल्दै छ ।

चार खेलमा दुई जित र दुई हारका साथ नेपाल अङ्क तालीकामा चौथो स्थानमा छ । हङकङ दुई जित र एक हारका साथ तेस्रो स्थानमा छ । नेपाल ओमान र संयुक्त अरब इमिरेट्स ९युएइ०सँग पराजित भएको थियो भने आयोजक मलेसिया र सिङ्गापुरलाई हराएको थियो ।

छनोट खेलको फाइनल पुग्न नेपालले हङकङलाई फराकिलोअन्तरले पराजित गर्नुपर्नेछ भने ओमानले युएईलाईसमेत फराकिलो अन्तरले पराजित गर्नुपर्नेछ ।

चार खेलमध्ये तीनमा जितका साथ ओमान अङ्क तालीकाको शीर्ष स्थानमा छ । चार खेलमध्ये तीनमा जित तथा एक हारका साथ युएई दोस्रो स्थानमा छ । मलेसिया र सिङ्गापुर फाइनल पुग्ने होडबाट बाहिरिसकेका छन्

काठमाडौं, १८ भदौ । निजामतीमा अब नौ वटा मात्र सेवा रहने भएको छ । नयाँ बन्न थालेको सङ्घीय निजामती सेवा ऐनमा ११ बाट दुई सेवा खारेज गर्दै नौ वटा मात्र सेवा राख्न थालिएको सङ्घीय मामिला तथा सामान्य प्रशासन मन्त्रालयका प्रवक्ता सुरेश अधिकारीले जानकारी दिनुभयो ।

उहाँका अनुसार कानून, न्याय तथा संसदीय मामिला मन्त्रालयले ऐन स्वीकृत गर्दा शिक्षा र आर्थिक योजना तथा तथ्याङ्क सेवा खारेज गरिएको बताउनुभयो । अब प्रशासन, कृषि, वन, इञ्जिनीयरिङ, संसद्, स्वास्थ्य, न्याय, परराष्ट्र र विविध सेवा रहने छन् । प्रदेश र स्थानीय तहका कर्मचारीले सङ्घीय निजामती सेवामा प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्न पाउने व्यवस्था ल्याउन लागिएको छ । यसरी प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्दा उमेर हदबन्दी नलाग्ने र समान पदमा समेत प्रतिस्पर्धा गर्न पाउने छन् ।

कानून मन्त्रालयबाट केही बुँदा थपसहित स्वीकृत भएर विधेयक अहिले प्रधानमन्त्री तथा मन्त्रिपरिषद्को कार्यालयमा पेश गरिएको छ । थप गरिएको बुँदामा ऐनको मस्यौदामा प्रदेश निजामती सेवा र स्थानीय सेवाको लागि कर्मचारी प्रदेश लोकसेवाले परिपूर्ति गर्ने व्यवस्था गरिएको छ । मस्यौदामा कर्मचारीको नियुक्तिको उमेर, अवकाश उमेर, शैक्षिक योग्यतामा स्थानीय, प्रदेश र सङ्घबीच एकरुपता ल्याउने उल्लेख छ ।

प्रवक्ता अधिकारीले एउटा प्रदेशको कर्मचारी अर्को प्रदेशमा प्रतिस्पर्धा गरेर जान सक्ने बताउनुभयो । एउटै पदमा एक प्रदेशबाट अर्को प्रदेशमा प्रतिस्पर्धा गरेर जान उमेरको हदबन्दी नलाग्ने र समान पदमा समेत जानसक्ने ऐनको मस्यौदामा उल्लेख गरिएको छ ।
